Witness Well in HDR or Hyper Dimensional Resonator

Steven Gibbs Hyper Dimensional Resonator contains a witness well and a phenolic rubbing plate like most other radionics machines. You use the witness well to place a sample inside that you want to work on.
The original device called the Sonic Resonator did not have a witness well or a rubbing plate.These two were added later.
The Witness Well is an important HDR component:

You should place a lock of hair or a similar sample inside the HDR's witness
well.
Steven Gibbs added
the witness well to his invention to help people use the HDR from afar.
Other inventors have built time machines without witness wells, but according
to Steven Gibbs these cannot be used for time travel in the same way as the
Hyper Dimensional Resonator. They lack this important component of a radionics
machine.
Your witness light will turn on when you activate it by flipping your bottom white switch.
